Q: Can you help me with my commercial web site?
A: I am truly sorry to say that no, I am currently not accepting any commercial projects at this time. Right now I am devoting all my spare time on renovating this site and getting it back up and running completely. Furthermore, I am uncertain at the moment when I will begin accepting new projects again, but hopefully it will be soon. Sorry again and thank you for your patience.

Q: Can you recommend someone who can help me with my commercial web site?
A: There are numerous talented web designers out there; the trick is finding the right one for you and your needs. You can start by visiting Designer's Galore - a site dedicated to linking some of the web's best designers. If that doesn't help, check out the Pixelitas - a small, diversified group of talented female artists, designers, and web developers. If neither of those help, you can always refer to my links page or do a search using your favorite search engine.

Q: I really suck at HTML, can you do the coding for me?
A: I have already done the basic coding for you. An HTML template is included with every zip file. If CSS was used, that template will be included as well. All you need to do is make the appropriate changes, such as adding your own links, content, and site title.

I do not offer the linkware templates pre-coded for any CMS (content management system) platforms, such as WordPress, MovableType, Blogger, etc. Thus, if you are using a linkware template with any CMS platform, you will need to have some knowledge of how to set it up. If you do not know how to set it up, you should refer to the Help files or FAQ for the CMS platform you are using.

Q: If I have questions about all this web stuff, can I ask you?
A: Certainly! I'm always willing to try and answer any questions you may have as best as I can. However, prior to emailing me with your questions, be sure to read through all the FAQ (frequently asked questions) first - odds are your question has been answered here. If you can't find your answer here, then you may wish to try and find it at a tutorial site. Lissa Explains It All is a great place to start; it's extremely helpful and geared towards beginners. If that doesn't help, check my links page, there are several helpful sites listed there.

Q: What programs, HTML editors, etc. do you use?
A: Like most designers, I use several different programs. The following are the one's I use most and can't do without.

Q: Can you send me the font that was used for the set I registered or licensed?
A: I provide the name of all the fonts I use along with a link to where you may purchase or download them yourself on each template's preview page. All font info also gets included in an additional info file that's included with each template's zip file. I do not and will not send the font(s) to you separately, nor are any of the fonts included in any of the template's zip file. You will have to get the font(s) the same way I did, by either buying them or downloading them from their original owners/creators.

Q: I really like your site, would you be interested in selling it?
A: This question has been asked more then once, thus the reason it's being added to the FAQ. NO, I have absolutely no interest or desire to sell Twisted Creations, not the domain nor the site in whole. Just because noticeable updates aren't made frequently, doesn't mean I wish to get rid of my site or have lost interest in it. Twisted Creations is my baby and I plan to keep it for a very long time, if not forever. So again - NO, Twisted Creations is not and will not be up for sale.

Q: Can you add a link to my site on your links page?
A: I have received many requests for this, and it ultimately depends on your site and it's content. If you are a fellow graphic designer and would like to exchange links, I may be very interested in doing so pending suitable site content. If your site is simply a links directory, then the answer is no. My links page is merely a list of sites that I recommend my visitors to visit and/or links to sites that I support or use and visit frequently. It's not a directory of any sorts, and I will not link sites just to help improve Google rankings. With that being said, if you email me requesting your site be linked on my links page and you don't receive an answer, odds are I have chosen not to. Don't take it personal!

Q: How can I ever repay you for all the help you have given me?
A: A simple thank you message is sufficiant and always appreciated. However, if you're feeling extremely thankful, you can always make a donation via PayPal (donation button located in the site navigation to the right). As they say, every little bit helps. ;)

Q: What exactly is linkware anyways?
A: Linkware is a web graphic template that you are allowed to use free of charge on a personal, non-profit web site only, as long as you agree to and follow my terms of use and link back to Twisted Creations using the matching link logo provided on each page the graphics appear and are used at.

Q: The username and password for your linkware section isn't working for me, how come?
A: The user name and password is case sensitive, meaning you must enter them both correctly to gain access to the linkware section. The user name and password must be typed in all lower case letters without spaces, quotation marks or other special characters. If you type one or both incorrectly, you will get an error message and you will continue to get the error message until you enter them both correctly. If, for example, you enter your name as the user name instead of the provided name, you will get the error message. You must enter them exactly as seen. The user name and password can be found after you have read the terms of use.

Q: Can I purchase one of your linkware templates?
A: Sorry, but no. The linkware graphics are not available for sale nor will they ever become available for sale. There are no exceptions to this either, not even if your site is a personal, non-profit web site.

Q: Can you customize the title graphic and buttons for me?
A: No sorry, I do not offer free customization for linkware graphics. Furthermore, being that I am currently not accepting commercial projects, customization to any graphics offered here at Twisted Creations is also temporarily un-available.

Q: How do I add text to the blank buttons or other blank images myself?
A: You will need a graphics-editing program such as Adobe Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, or even Paint (which is typically located in the Programs files under Accessories). Open the blank graphic in the graphics-editing program you have or have chosen to use. Once open, choose the tool for adding your text...in most programs, this looks like a capital A. Then simply type what you want on the blank button, click ok, and then save. You want to be sure to save it as a .jpg, .jpeg, or .gif file extension. That's it.

Note: Instructions may vary depending on the chosen program.

Q: I downloaded the zip file for one of your linkware templates, now what do I do?
A: First you need to unzip all the files and save them to your hard drive. To do this, you will need a utility such as Winzip. Once all the files are unzipped and saved, you then need to make all the appropriate changes in the template(s) provided to suit your needs. To do this, simply replace the *** SITE TITLE ***, *** SITE URL ***, and *** SITE CONTENT ***, which are located throughout the template(s), with your own information by using an HTML editor or text editor such as Notepad. Once you have all the changes made and saved, you then need to upload all the images and template(s) to your own web server or site directory. If you are unsure how to upload to your own web server or site directory, you will need to refer to the Help files or FAQ for the web service you are using.

Q: How come my images aren't showing up?
A: Chances are, your images are not in the same directory (folder) as your HTML template. If they're not in the same directory, then you will need to change the file paths to all images within the HTML template.

For example:
If you have your images in a directory named folder1, and the HTML template is in your main (public_html) directory, then the file path should read either of the following...

<img src="folder1/image.gif">
<img src="http://www.yoursite.com/folder1/image.gif">

If a CSS file was used, you may need to change the file path in the HTML template for that as well. However, if you upload the CSS file and the HTML template to the same directory, you will not have to worry about it. You may however have to change the file path to any images that are included inside the CSS file. If you're a beginner or are not certain how to change file paths, then I recommend uploading all the files (images, HTML template, and possible CSS file) to the same directory.
